Our Team
The Cloncurry Vet Services team is dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and comprehensive care for your beloved pets and animals.

Ally
Ally Reid is the owner and principal vet at Cloncurry Vet Services.
Ally believes in offering high quality vet care and services to remote areas of Australia, and is passionate about integrating the clinic into the local community. She loves the challenge and variety of being a mixed practice vet where no two days are the same.
Ally grew up on a beef property in South Australia with her three brothers and has always been an emphatic animal lover. She is happiest when she’s getting her hands dirty, either at work or on the footy field.
Ally holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga. Since graduating in 2016, she has worked in equine practice in WA, and mixed practice in the NT, NSW, and the Victorian High Country. Ally is a keen world traveller and has also worked in the UK, Alaska, Asia, and Africa in various roles.
As a new mum Ally has embraced the challenge of juggling business and children, and when she isn’t working she enjoys spending quality time with her partner and children.

Gracie
Gracie is our new vet and graduated in 2024 from UQ Gatton. She is from small acreage in Redlands and has a strong equine background. She’s interested in rural vetting and has spent a lot of time on family and friends stations in regional NSW and Qld.
Gracie has relocated to Cloncurry with her two horses and her sidekick ‘Muffin’ the Bordoodle.

Bella
Bella is our new Admin/Nurse/Nanny (and workplace entertainment) extraordinaire. You may have seen her poking around the clinic for the last few weeks.
Originally from Tasmania (don’t hold it against her), Belle relocated to the East Coast and then to the North/West. After working on stations around Cloncurry for the last 3 years Bella has decided to settle in town, and we are just thrilled to have her come onboard with us.
Belle is dedicated to her customer service and always looking to further her skills and knowledge of animal medicine.
In her spare time, you can find Belle on the back of a horse, chasing cows, wetting a line, sharing a cheese platter with friends or studying for a Bachelor of Paramedic Science.

Sarah
Sarah has come on board as a vet nurse/admin and is currently studying a certificate in animal studies. She has recently swapped the station life to become a Cloncurry local after spending the last 6 years working on stations and feedlots learning a number of different skills that will be invaluable here at CVS. When she’s not at work you can find her out riding her horses, walking her dogs or spending time with her pet snake.
Sarah has a keen interest in all of our hospital cases, from the diagnostics and treatment to ensuring your fur baby is comfortable as can be. Sarah is very committed to up skilling and expanding her knowledge and has plans to further her studies in the future.

Emily
Emily is our Vet Tech. Originally from a cattle property north of Eidsvold, QLD.
She has graduated from the University of Queensland, Gatton in 2024. After 6 years of boarding school in Toowoomba Emily tells us she’s sick of the cold weather and so she has decided to relocate to Cloncurry to start her career.
After completing 4 weeks of placement with us back in September, she loved it so much she didn’t want to leave. She enjoys riding horses, mustering, working with cattle and anything dachshunds.
She can’t wait to meet all of your furry friends soon! Please make Emily feel welcome, we are lucky to have her on board!

Kelsey
Kelsey graduated Veterinary Science at CSU in 2017.
Kelsey has since worked in mixed practice in various locations including Victoria, NSW and the NT.
Although her home, partner Liam and dogs Rex and Simba are in Proserpine, Kelsey enjoys doing regular locum stints in Tennant Creek.

Kathleen
Kathleen is our graduate Veterinarian and local wildlife carer who found her calling later in life when she decided to swap the high vis for scrubs. Living in remote and regional country towns for most of her adult life, she has embraced the lifestyle and is passionate about enhancing animal welfare for those feathered, furred and scaled animals that also call country Australia home.
Since obtaining her Veterinary Science degree from James Cook University in 2022, Kathleen has been particularly keen to expand her knowledge of avian and animal behaviour medicine.
Her menagerie has slowly increased from 1 dog to 3 dogs, 3 parrots, multiple chickens and a number of wild birds in care at any one time. Her goal is to buy a rural property where she can have turkeys again and the cockatoos can scream until their heart’s content.
In her spare time, you will find her running around a soccer pitch, straddling a dirtbike, taking the dogs out bush in the 4WD or chilling in the aviary. She also loves to swap the heat for the snow – nothing like sailing on powder and dodging trees while strapped to a snowboard.

Brielle
Brielle is our extra set of hands on her school holidays and we’re pretty lucky to have her help out.
Brielle is a Cloncurry local who is currently completing her year 11 studies in Townsville. After high school she has aspirations to study Veterinary Science, and we think the future of Cloncurry vets is looking mighty bright!
In her spare time you’ll find Brielle in the paddock mucking around with her ponies. She also enjoys touch, netball and has recently taken up rowing.
